Availible Coaching Possitions

The Aplington-Parkersburg Community Schools will have the following coaching openings for the 2025-2026 school year. Aplington-Parkersburg has a rich athletic history and a strong tradition. We are in search of energetic, motivated coaches who are as mindful about mentoring young adults as having success and winning. Coaches should be team players and encourage athletes to be involved in multiple sports, work well with other coaches and have a passion.Interested Candidates should contact Aaron Thomas. Custodial Openings

The Aplington-Parkersburg Community Schools has the following custodial openings with the start date as soon as July 1, 2025. The candidate will be a hard working, self motivated individual who takes pride in their work and is always willing to jump in and help where ever it is needed. They must be a team player and willing to work with the other members of the custodial team, students, teachers, coaches, and administration. It is highly encouraged the applicant has a CDL and is able to drive school bus. The position could be tied to a bus route, shuttle route, with the opportunity to drive extra curricular activities if interested.

The A-P District is looking to hire two candidates and fill two two positions. As stated above preference will be given to those with a CDL or a willingness to get a CDL prior to the start of the 2025 school year.

Position 1: Primary role will be at A-P High School. This person will work days at A-P High School and be in charge of general maintenance of the building. Cleaning of the lunchroom, hallways, gymnasiums, Band and Choir areas, weight room, Industrial Arts, Agriculture classroom, Auditorium and other areas as assigned. This candidate will be involved in setting up and preparation of home activities and will work with the Activities Director to make sure the building is ready for all home activities. This position will be a first shift job.

Position 2: A split position between A-P High School and A-P Middle School in Aplington. 10:45 AM start in Aplington this person will make sure the lunch room is set up and ready to go in Aplington. They will be responsible for emptying the trash during lunch, cleaning the lunch room after lunch and will also have some cleaning responsibilities during the time in Aplington. This candidate will be responsible for the High School building after school emptying all garbage cans in classrooms, cleaning and vacuuming the carpet in the high school and locking the building at night. **Depending on Driving CDL the candidate may have other duties assigned. Both of these positions are year round positions that offer insurance and IPERS through Aplington-Pakersburg Community Schools.
